ungh, wisdom teeth.

ren & stimpy - ren's toothacheI only remember waking up and being kicked out of their office. I was dead asleep and they wanted me out. Des says that when I woke I was mumbling and trying to communicate by writing notes on something. She says it was completely illegible. I remember fading in and out on the drive home. She says that I slept for two hours when I got home, but it felt like it was only 15 minutes.

Tom’s advice proved helpful. I kept my face iced for the remainder of the night to prevent much swelling. Instead of feeling an aching soreness, the sensation was replaced by numbing cold. I was really thirsty, as I wasn’t allowed to drink for the whole day, and I could begin to feel in my mouth, a sign that I needed to take some pain killers. Removing the bloody gauze was disgusting. Also, drinking is an amazing feat when your face in numb. It feels like you have no lip. I ended up drooling all over myself.

My pillow has blood-drool stains. I just ate my first meal in 24 hours, some Cambell’s Split Pea soup. As I type this, I feel really dizzy, but fortunately, I’m not in a lot of pain. I am scared that my sockets / blood clots will get food debris lodged in there, and cause an infection. I have yet to look in the mirror, I don’t think I wanna see how ugly it is!

I also need to remove the tape and cloth that bound the IV to my arm, but I’m a pussy when it comes to those things, heh.

Well, thanks be to Bob that you’re alright. Trying to write notes sounds like something you’d do. :) And don’t worry about the tape, it’ll fall off eventually!
